It's summertime now.
And summertime is a wedding season...
I would like to send out a passage from the Bible about the relationships.
Gen2/18:
Then the LORD God said,
"It is not good for the man to be alone;
I will make him a suitable helper ."
Out of the ground the LORD God formed every beast of the field and every bird of the sky,
and brought them to the man to see what he would call them;
and whatever the man called a living creature, that was its name.
The man gave names to all the cattle, to the birds of the sky, and to every beast of the field,
but for a suitable helper for Adam was not found.
So the LORD God caused a deep sleep to fall upon the man, and he slept;
then He took one of his ribs and closed up the flesh at that place.
The LORD God fashioned the rib which He had taken from the man into a woman,
and brought her to the man.
The man said, "This is now bone of my bones, and flesh of my flesh"
She shall be called Woman, because she was taken from Man."
For this reason a man shall leave his father and his mother,
and be joined to his wife; and they shall become one flesh.
-From the beginning, God has designed us as a person who needs to form relationships.
-Without having a relationship, we are not comfortable,
we are really missing something that could add balance to our life.
"God brought them to the man to see what he would call them"
-God would like to know if Adam could be satisfied having just the company of the animals.
-God really want to fulfill to Adam his promise "I will make him a helper suitable for him".
So God carefully watched the feelings of Adam.
-It's amazing that God is so close to the feeling of Adam !
Of course God could have immediately created Eve for Adam.
But since God has an amazing humility and respect for Adam, for the human.
God really wants to take the real feelings of Adam into account.
We are not a robot for God !
God considers us as a person with all his complexity.
And God really wants to fulfill the inner life of Adam/me.
"So LORD God caused a deep sleep to fall upon the man, and he slept".
-It's very difficult for Adam to form exactly his need.
-It's beyond his ability to define the ideal form of life and of his lack.
He can't do it in a rational, awakening, physical and mathematical way !
-So God had to make him fall in a deep sleep.
The unconsciousness and the dream will come and help Adam to design his lack !
-Until now, the woman really belongs to some dream dimension for a man.
( and of course vice versa ).
Right ?
"The man said, 'This is now bone of my bones, and flesh of my flesh' "
-Is Eve beautiful and desirable ?
Of course she is !
She is the mother of all the blonds, all the red-haired girls,
all the Claudia Schiffers, all the Brigitte Bardots, and all the Naomie Campbells...
There's noone more perfect and desirable than Eve.
She is the top of the top.
-But God is not superficial.
At first, Adam does not see the beauty of Eve.
In the beginning, he is struck by the resemblance of Eve to him.
She is like a mirror of him in a beautiful and desirable form.
She is like a mirror of some existence of feminity, of love, of tenderness in himself.
She is really a beautiful side of himself !
She is a mirror of an intimate part of himself.
Coming from his deepest sleep.
From his unconsciousness.
From his dream more or less blurred.
-And more than that, she is a " suitable helper ".
Adam could find all the animals of the world to help him to work.
But for himself, for his mind, for his soul, for his inner life,
none of the animals can understand him and help him.
So Eve is the best possible helper for him.
Being a part of him, created from inside of him,
she is able to understand his emotions, feelings, joys, ... and his psyche.
She is able to see what he really is and to have compassion for him and to encourage him.
She is a true reflection of him, very suitable to help him.
Adam said "bone of my bones, and flesh of my flesh"
-He could also add: "dream of my dreams"
-If you are friend of God,
invite God to come into your dream !
He will give birth following exactly to your unconscious dream !
Because God didn't create a creature outside of Adam.
Eve really came from the dream and the flesh of Adam himself !
Your wife will be the "helper suitable" for you.
She will be the best-off you in your life.
( in all that of course vice and versa )
"For this reason a man shall leave his father and his mother" :
-With his wife, the man can stop to define and to exist through his parents.
-With his wife, he has found his mirror, his intimate meeting (vis-à-vis).
His need of a helper that is pleasant and profound is fulfilled.
He can now leave his father and mother and write his own story.
"It is not good for the man to be alone".
So we can see that the relational man/woman could be in relationship with :
-The animals:
It's just for not to be alone.
But it's not a profound relationship with oneself as with a wife.
The western world is excellent in this kind of relationship with the pets.
-The parents:
The Asians are excellent in this kind of relationship with their parents,
grand-parents, ...
-The husband and wife:
It's a relationship necessary for all men and women.
-Another relationship is with God himself:
When the afternoon came, "God walking in the garden in the cool of the day"
to meet Adam&Eve ( Gen3/8 )
-Another relationship will go up.
A hidden, dark relationship goes up with the demons, and Satan
through clairvoyance, occultism, spiritualism, and Satanism...
To end about the relational man/woman :
-God was a Creator for Adam&Eve
Adam&Eve were just the creatures of God.
-But now through Jesus & the Holy Spirit
a much more incomparable and glorious relationship is set with God.
God is no longer only God for the believer.
He is the Father !
The new Adam&Eve believers are no more the creatures of God.
They become the son and daughter of God !
"who were born, not of blood, nor of the will of the flesh,
nor of the will of man, but of God." (Jn1/12), (Jn3/3), (Ga4/6), (Ro8/16)....
The title of my post could be also :
- I dream a relationship ...
- Relationship ... a dream ...
- A dream of my dreams.
